MCP: connect Claude and Codex

Connect Levomio tools to your AI assistant.

Access and keys

Sign in to Levomio and create a key in settings. Copy it and replace YOUR_API_KEY in your chosen client’s settings. Keep the key private.

Manage keys · MCP

Claude

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. Name it Levomio, enter the URL below and click Continue. Team administrators add it under Organization settings → Connectors.

https://levomio.com/api/mcp

Select No sign-in, then add a required Authorization header under Request headers. Its value must be Bearer followed by a space and your Levomio key. Save the connector and enable it in your chat’s Connectors menu.

Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY

Request headers is still limited to some Claude organizations. If the field is missing, use Claude Code below; entering only the URL will not connect this key-protected server.

Claude Code

With Claude Code installed, replace YOUR_API_KEY and run this command in your terminal. Start a new Claude Code session and run /mcp to check Levomio.

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user levomio \
  https://levomio.com/api/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Codex

Open ~/.codex/config.toml and add the block below, replacing YOUR_API_KEY. This user-level setting is shared by Codex desktop, CLI and the IDE extension.

[mcp_servers.levomio]
url = "https://levomio.com/api/mcp"
http_headers = { Authorization = "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" }

Save the file and restart Codex. Run /mcp and check that levomio is connected. Use a current Codex version that supports HTTP MCP servers.
